Want to try Vatsim ...

For everything about online flying around New Zealand

Postby ZK-MAT » Tue Jan 16, 2007 11:47 am

VATNZ is pleased to present the following opportunity!

NEWBIE NIGHT

Ok if you've never flown online or you feel nervous around Air Traffic Control then tonight is your night.

It's a free pass, It's a night when mistakes are welcomed and nobody worries about if you don't quite make your destination.

So from 7pm NZDT NZCH_APP will be open and NZCH_TWR will be on watch as well.

Don't feel put off if you have any question's once connected just feel free to ask. The point of tonight is for participation not to be the best or worst at anything.

If tonight is successfull we will look at continuing with these nights.

So anyone who has ever thought "I would like to give this ago" What are you waiting for.

Hi Nik. Before you register with VATNZ I think you have to register with VATSIM.

The place for pilots to start is the Pilot resource center, or PRC

Read through the PRC as necessary, then click the join button on that page.

Are you sure GMail doesn't work?

Edit. Nope it doesn't accept Gmail. Use your normal ISP email. I've never had any spam on the one I use (an Orcon address) for Vatsim and AVSIM.

Look to see what your router is using as your user name. That's generally your ISP log in name

You need to go to the PRC.

http://www.vatsim.net/prc/

Read through it all. BTW you need to register with both VATSIM and VATNZ.

You don't have to join VATNZ in order to use Vatsim, perhaps have a read of The How To Get Set On Vatsim thread.
