heck, i haven't even filled half my 250GB
but surely the whole of NZ photo real would be less than 1000GB

At present resolution yes
But think 2.5m/pixel... :D

Actually the HDD manufacturers deserve credit for developing their antiquated technology, one step ahead of the pack.
By now we should all have had 500GB flash cards, but no, here's a mechanical device that still beats everything, mainly on price.
I can only think of one other product that has outlasted its use-by date so well: the automobile
