Hi Andrew. It appears at just about every domestic airport in New Zealand that has a sealed runway. There are actually 2 of them flying independently. One in the North Island, and one in the South Island. You get a better chance of seeing it at various airports that way. If you like the paint that much, you ought to see my youngest son's FS9. The commercial AI in his sim are ALL Santa F27s at the moment. The things are EVERYWHERE !! Air Santa Zealand !

Must have been a heck of a LOT of good little boys and girls in Rotorua. Guess there wasnt enough room on one F27 for all the prezzies.....  heh heh

Seriously though Andrew, AI does some really seriously weird things at times. I have a WW-2 B25 bomber that shows up at NZAA frequently, and the only flight plan for that aircraft in my sim is for an Airshow at Wanaka ?? Go figure..??
