Heres one for the older members of the forum, you may remember flying boat operations on the Waitemata in the 70's, how many got to fly on this baby?

I was one of them, even got to fly in the right hand seat on one trip to Waiheke island and 'wiggle the wings' on the way. Great fun, shame the boat traffic got to much for these birds to remain operating.

This is an FSX only file, great if you have The Real NZ Auckland scenery as the Sea Bee aircraft operated from Mechanics Bay. File available now from the ARNZ website, along with the other 3 skins. ARNZ WEBSITE HERE

Note - These files will not be uploaded to AVSIM or Flightsim.com etc, all exclusive to ARNZ

Hi John. I still can't find these repaints of yours on your site. They're not in the repaints section (apart from the 738 skin), nor can I find em on the home page. Help?

Although I'm not old enough to remember them, I have certainly read plenty about Sea Bee Air. Nice to see it in FS! :)

I was pretty impressed to find a few shots of her on Airliners, as you can see my skin is based on ENY, the third photo down on that search.

I also remember it Jon
Like yourself, i used to fly on it to my bach on Waiheke, $44 one way
from Mechanics bay to Surfdale (10mins), and as you've said if you were quick enough you could get the right hand seat, i always remember the pilot was very short and was only just able to reach the rudders, it was certainly still flying there in 1988, i think it was used for the soap powder ad as well (surf) about that time
one of those things i'm glad to have done, a wonderful memory of a wonderful aircraft.........cant remember where it went to!
Canada i think?
