This happened to me a few times before on dialup, but is now happening all the time on broaband when I click a link to watch a video on youtube:

Would anyone know why this is and how I can fix it? Is it something to do with cookies?

Also, everytime I go to hotmail and avsim, it does not log in automatically anymore, it just comes up with the password and username box which I have to varify before viewing the next page...?

I have no idea about the youtube thing, for some reason your browser is putting the page into raw code...

But for AVSIM and hotmail I'd say your cookies are at fault. Cookies store information about the relationship between the page and your PC, for example, cookies allow you to have a logged in stance as soon as you visit NZFF (if you set that on the login page).
On hotmail there is a radio button list below the login page, select the one that says "Remember Email address and password", or similar. On AVSIM there should be some sort of check-box below the login form if memory serves me.

Good luck,

Well I'm with ihug but I understand that Orcon own them now. Do you have a Router or just straight through. I have a router and I have to ignore the pop up notes by windows to connect to the net as I need to get on through my Local Area Connection that says Fast Ethernet Addapter, not the usual PPPOE way. This is because it is the Router that has the IP address and then that dishes out further addy's to any PC's connected to the Router.
I remember going through something similar to you when I first got my Broadband and Router, and once I learned what was what I was away. There's always something to learn with computers, it certainly keeps the brain active, it even overheats from time to time and have to reach for the Neurofen.
Of course if you have no Router then disregard the piffle spouted above!

I fixed the youtube probelm after doing some searching on other forums- its a fault between Mozilla and ZoneAlarm and you have to go to www.youtube.com first before entering the URL... odd!

As for AVSIM and HOTMAIL, I know about those logging in options. It always used to automatically log in, but now it just brings up the page with the username and password boxes, already filled in might I add, so it remembers something, then I just have to click 'ok' or 'submit' to log in..

Anyway, I am not really bothered by it. Codge, I am using a Ethernet Router btw.

Cheers
