This Sundays Trans Tasman Endurance Challenge

For everything about online flying around New Zealand

Postby ardypilot » Fri Dec 08, 2006 12:44 pm

After the troubles we faced during Mondays attempt at crossing the Tasman, precautions have been put in place, and ZK-MAT has very kindly set us up a private flightsim server and teamspeak channel so that we can go ahead with out flight uninterrupted this Sunday 10th December, starting at 1.00pm

***
We will now by flying fsim server: nzfs.no-ip.com
The Teamspeak server is also the same: nzfs.no-ip.com

However, these both require passwords, so you will need to post a reply in this thread confirming you want to join in on the 9th, and I will then PM you the two passwords on Sunday morning so that you will be able to log on.
***

Please log on a little early so that we can make that departure time, and be in Port Macquarie by 8.30pm.

The route we will be flying is:

With "Crazy_Craig' providing us with ATC along the way.

We will be flying Cessna Caravans, and cruising at approximately 165kias. Please use the default FS9 one, with the "title=Cessna Grand Caravan"Â￾ line in it's aircraft.cfg file. This is so that everyone can keep up with each other and see each other in the relevant aircraft in fs2004.

However, if you wish to fly the feelThere Cessna Grand Caravan like myself, PM me asap and I will paint you a custom scheme like these craft below:

You may wish to download the NZFF Inflight module so you can browse the web while flying, and also YMPQ airport scenery to enhance your final landing experience!

For any other info, read this thread: http://z11.invisionfree.com/nzff/index. ... topic=1413

Cheers,
Andrew

You should be able to simply enter that in the IP field, then click search, it should find it. The no-ip address saves having to let everyone know if my IP changes.

We have a few days to test, I'll leave it running, it has a sign on it to tell the kids not to turn it off or use messenger/runescape etc on it so I hope they take heed lol.

I wont be able to do all the flight but may be able to pop in at some stage to at least watch the action if that is OK.

Probably around Lord Howe.

ZK-MAT

in FSX there's nowhere to input the server address of the No-Ip server. The direct connect function is for numbers only.

So it won't accept words, only numbers? Good old Microsoft aye!

At the moment the IP address is 121.72.1.32

That could change before Sunday but try it out anyway

If anyone wants to see if anyone's online, click The Status Page

I've tarted it up a bit :P

EDIT:

Apparently you need a FSHost client to connect FSX to FS Host:

LOOK HERE to get it.

Hi Matt. I just checked out the FShostclient app. It seems to do its job, so you can see me online in FSX!

Craig - why? If ATC is provided via a teamspeak channel, there should be no problem?

Perhaps FSX users won't show up on FS Nav? You won't know till you try. If you want I could jump on and see whether you show up, Brock.
