Perfect water

There is a file iv been neglecting downloading for sometime, it is "perfect water" from flightsim.com

Most of you proably have tried this but if you havent its worth a look at

heres some shots I tok when flying across cookstraight






As you can see some shots look absolutly brillinat were as the app one is just as defualt.

There seems to be no impact on fps, you do need to have the water slider on max for best visuals and this will of course take more computer power than haveing the slider way back.

All in all I like this little set of textures, download it from flightsim.com file name: perfwat.zip

P.S: just a tip: make sure you back up the fs9 texture folder as perfect water is just a installer and doesnt back anything up

I agree James, pretty much all water packages look great, but this one is particularly good on frames - something you'd personally look for I expect

I personally use the RedBaronEnt waterclass, with no addons at the moment. As it focuses on NZ, it really has close attention to detail payed to it, and is the most realistic water enhancement I have tried.

Second to that is the VOZ water, which comes with VOZ 1.1. You can download a simple batch file which lets you use just the water alone (without the rest of the VOZ scenery), and I have had this option running for the past few months before I discovered the RBE stuff.

Another option is the Real Environment Pro freeware water, but IMO it looks way to shiny and reflective down low, a bit like your screenies above Jimmy.

By the way, what Dash 8 is that? And what handling file do you have with it? Mine jumps all over the place when resting on the ground

Yeah I have the RBE land/water class installed, I think what this does is just improve the textures, the same sort of water is displayed just look better I think the voz water is rather simple and sorta looks like big shiny bits of glass! lol

I do like the RBE water but this addon just imporves it apart from what you see in shot 3........

Fair enough, but it's sweet on the FPS, has sunlight and cloud reflections, and neat inland lake and river textures. In my opinion.

Please tell me where you got that Dash 8 from by the way!
