Landing at McMurdo

A forum to share your FS video clips and movies

Hi folks,

Today I controlled at McMurdo for a little while, as an event was coming in. It was the Pole to Pole Event, run by RallyeAir. Basically they take off from Iceland, fly over the North Pole (not over, but close ;) ) to Japan, then Japan to Brisbane, Brisbane to McMurdo, McMurdo to Brazil flying close to the South Pole, then Brazil to Europe, and then back to Iceland.
Voice comms over TS are included, but unfortunately you couldn't hear me...

A video below of them landing; http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yi0lolbXNOw.

And you can download it from; http://filexoom.com/files/2826/mcmurdo.wmv. Just right click and click 'Save Target As...' ;) .

Also I took a few pictures;

Great fun, unfortunately I didn't get a video of the bit where the Australian 767 (Tom) was spinning around on the spot. :lol:
Good practice for Deep Freeze maybe. :P

It didn't really seem to be too much of a problem. ;)
