New VOZ Forums

Just a quick note for all the VOZ (Vista Austrails) fans out there from their homepage:

New forums are now up! We apologise for the interruption to the forums over the last few days. We have now installed new forum software and you can visit the forums at http://vistaoz.org/smf/

I am not sure why they have decided to scrap the old ones, it was hugely popular all over au and the world. I hadn't visited in about a week, and when I hit my favorites link today, I got redirected to this new one. Does anyone know why/when thier new one got set up?

Dear all,

As you all know we have had a little problem that has caused the forums to be unavailable. Why a new forum type you are asking and not just restore the other one? Because this is the only type that is officially supported by our ISP so if something similar happens in the future it will A) save us a lot of work B) Our ISP has legal grounds to stand on. Furthermore the vulnerability that existed in the old forum could be easily exploited again and again causing just grief to everyone. This new forum has the better features, member, mod and admin wise but I will let you find out about those features yourself. It will take a little getting used too and yes all the old posts are gone but I am sure we can get us back to where we were. VOZ Forever are you with me ??
