Hi Alex.

I tired that flight our once, although unfortunately I found the Antarctic ice runways unlandable on fs2004.

The closer you get to them, the faster away from you that they move- a north/south pole bug in the simulator.

Because the station is located near the pole it suffers from the bug where runways are moving relative to the terrain while the plane is in motion. All approaches are visual and landings are complicated by the monotonous terrain and the reduced braking ability on ice and snow.

Good luck getting the F16s and F18s down there :D
I will do my best to attend, but it'd most likely be in the C17. I've done it once in the C130, and that'll be my last time haha

HMMMMMMM wonder why that was.I landed at Mcmurdo last night in a C130 and never had a problem. The runway is something like 10,000ft long according to the gps.and it does take a long time to stop, even using reverse thrust,But it can be landed on,without going off the edge.I have done 3 or 4 landings and each one was done without a hitch.

Ah yes, the old messenger trial thing. Well if you are completely keen I can put you in touch with the people who did, if what you did (?) is anything to go by...

Fixed the pic btw. ;)
