Awesome Little Microlight

I just have to recommend this awesome little microlight, it is certainly for the low-and-slow pilots, but handles beautifully, perfect for a spin around the Southern Alps

File Description:
The Challenger Two, first introduced in 1984 is a tandem seat two place pusher in a trigear configuration. The aluminum tubing fabric covered craft uses bolt and rivet construction covered in either dacron sail cloth or conventional aircraft covering materials. Building times vary depending on the type of covering materials used. The design was one of the first true three axis control two place ultralights on the market and has survived to this day as one of the leaders in the field.. There are reported to be nearly 3200 built and flying to date. It has evolved though the years and now there are clipped wing, ski and amphibeous float versions! By Lynn and Bill Lyons

Personally, I would rather be buzzing around in a MD500! I have never liked ultra lights or micro lights for that matter. Just dont trust them I guess

My dream Machine! I could have it out the front and go where ever. That would be the float version. Yes we'd all prefer a H500 but who's got a spare million lying around? This is achievable, I wonder how much they are? Cheers Trolly

Microlights can be fun - I used to get rides around the Mount in TG when I was there in the trike ( same as the one in FSX) - controls are the same as a hang glider so opposite to an aircraft ie push the bar to go up and pull to go down - but pull the power and push bar fully forward and it still didn't stall just sort of mushed forward with a slow but steady descent. - and if it all stuffs up then theres always the rocket deployed chute!

Only had time for a couple of quick trial flights last night. Brings back memories of my time "flying these bar stools"(as a GA pilot friend of mine called them). The included challengers are a bonus.

MMmmm, now if i dump the passenger there's just enough room for a deer or two. Time for a trip around the Central Plateau me thinks.
