Help Make NZFF Ad-Free

Read and write about updates, changes, or any issues regarding the NZFF website and community

Postby ardypilot » Fri Sep 29, 2006 4:53 pm

I would like to make NZFF ad-free, and to do this, I need to pay the invisionfree.com company $5 US, which is about $8 NZ.

To make the payment I need to have a paypal account, which unfortunately, as I am not 18 yet, I am unable to sign up for.

So, what I am looking for is a member of NZFF who has a paypal account who is willing to give me their bank details so that I can send them the $8 and then they will be able to make the payment to invisionfree.com for me.

Please post here if you can help!

We can do it by rotation if you like, draw up a roster Trolly.

EDIT: I'm looking at the front page and I also don't see any ads.
Is IE7 that good??

haha, i thought you put those ads there to try and squeeze a few dollars out :P
(they don't make any money anyway- they're a fraction of a cent per click)

thanks Crazy_Craig!

doh... too slow... i would have offered... i have a paypal account (and an NZ bank account) so could have done it easily...

is this a monthly thing?? yearly? or was it a one off?

I am more than happy to 'donate' a months worth or whatever... as this forum rocks...

and lets face it... we could always do with more funds for the NZFFAC... the chilly bin was looking a little empty the other day :D

Thanks for the offer H.C.P,

Crazy_Craig purchased the forums $5 worth of 'credits'. It costs us $0.15 per 1,000 page views to keep the adverts away. That means the forums need to be viewed 3333333.3 times before they will return :P

Me too lol! I will bear your offer in mind if the ads ever return!

To ease the credit consumption, I have arranged the forum that you only get ad removal when you are logged in. When a guest is browsing, they still will see ads.

At this point in time, we still have 27030 ad credits left!

I only posted that 8 days ago, but the ad's seem to have returned. Can anyone else see them?

I can't believe our forums have had 27030 hits in just over a week have they?
