how fast is your pc?

hello there my friends!
today, I want to know how fast your pc is. However, I dont want to know that its got 40gazillion gb of ram and so on I want to know your results from this test:

After running the tests post your results here so we can see how good your pc really is.
For example, I tested 3 PC's in my house- my laptop (1.6Ghz), the other laptop (2.8Ghz) and the family computer (2.4 Ghz) and the total results were fascinating
Mine got a total score of 1498
The family computer (desktop) got a score of 1188
The other laptop got a score of 1166

Heres the individual test results for my pc:
CPU Mark:391
2D Graphics Mark: 375
3D Graphics Mark: 205
Memory Mark:289
Disk Mark:228

So, lets see who really is the best when it comes to their PC


*Note the programme passed 2 anti virus scans, so its 100% clean

Brownbox- how the hell did your machines get such high Passmark ratings yet your individual sequential tests are lower then mine?

well i tryed the test again after looking at the 3d mark that you guys are posting and it is nearly the same as before 3d mark 167.6 2d mark 433.1
my simple3d is 420.4?

Interesting to see where the components on my ancient PC Company box fit in with the New World.
Using Robjess as the Top o' the Heap benchmark:

2d mark : 428.4/411.3 (Here comes that ATI video card!)
Memory : 474.5/316.8 (That's come a long way since 2002)
Disk mark : 516.9/248.0 (Likewise)
3d mark : 685.7/479.6 (Given the limitations of the motherboard, the ATI card is still a good investment)

PASSMARK RATING 654.8/307.3
My test for computer upgrade:
I would never trade in my computer unless it was for something at least twice as good, and the same price as I paid last time. Maybe the time is drawing near.

But looking down that list, maybe a nice fast 300GB C:\ drive would help things along a little until VISTA SP1 arrives

cool i just rang my shop about this passmark because my 3d mark is so low to the rest of you Answer is that it all depends on what programs are running in the background firewalls,virus,etc.. and because my card is overclocked that the passmark is getting a wrong reading for this mark ,passmark from what ive been told today is not an accrate test as all depends on above things ,
so im pretty happy with my marks as is ..
i spent most of last night trying to get the marks to improve but only had small changes ether way ,i dont get jars when i fly all sliders to the right so this means to me things are working sweet
overclocking ? well you are turning your default clock setting up ,meaning more memory for the card and faster performance ,but there is a down side ,less life of the card ,you would need better cooling as the card runs hotter ,plus some cards will just give up altogether because of the 2 out of ten card are faulty and when o/c they spit the dumby ,there is an overclocking link in tech issues
mine is an asus extreme 256mb n6600 pci normal settings where 300mhz /500 clock ,,exsample now are 451mhz with 557 on the clock ,,the recomended for my card with overclocking is 321mhz 530 on the clock
everything is screeming with these setting but each card is different (so caution is to be taken )when overclocking big time !!
just have the thought in your head that you mite be going out to buy a new card !!

Must say I haven't had much of a handle on the Intel product line of late.
Moore's Law said that processing power would double every 18 months.
Well that's no longer the case, and I suspect they hit a brick wall in the production of thinner faster cooler silicon.
Most chips now run at under 3 GHz and rely on either multithreading (Good for simming) or multicore (Not much good for simming).
But if you paid money for a Pentium-D Intel dual-core processor you have been robbed.
This from the latest PCWorld:
They ran super-hot, performed poorly and were merely a stop-gap measure...

...apparently for the new Core 2 Duo processor released this year.
Even more reason for never ever buying bleeding edge computer hardware.
Goes for software (in spades) too.
