NZ certainly has some numerous TV adverts, my personal favourites being the SKY TV series with the short white guy (aka B Man from the Watties Ad) and the tall Maori dude :D

The new ferrit.co.nz ad with the old man laughing and the reference to Auckland's power outage is also quite clever... anyone else got favourites?

Hmmm, and you call yourself a flightsim fan? TV is for those who don't have any obsessions:)
I have a real thing against Ferrit, to me its Telecom inventing a product which nobody wants, but having it rammed down our throats through all those clever ads. And there's a billboard here in Chch saying something like --
Shop online with Ferrit and you'll have more time to do the things you love -- like your wife.
So Telecom are giving us more time to do our wives? That's pretty creepy if you ask me.

Telecom always has your best interests at heart, The ferit site is incredibly active for something not wanted by the general public (I have seen the figures ;) )

Live television died quietly, along with all the ad garbage, with the arrival of MySKY.
Amazing that a 3-hour long TV2 movie is actually half that!
That's nearly two hours you now have, to do...whatever it is you have a need to do.

the ferrit ads aren't bad
the supercheap ad where the kid arrives home in a taxi is good
the real estate ad where the guy with the chopped off afro answers the door is cunning
the new visa ad where the women is dreaming in her sleep about scoring the try...

that's all that springs to mind for good ads at the moment.

I used to really like an old Saatchi and Saatchi ad. The one with the geese. ;)

oh, and how could i forget all the Air NZ ads that have been on in the past
like po karekare ana, the proposal in sydney, the zephyrs playing on the roof, the fanatical sponsors of rugby....
most of them are on youtube too

and the ansett ad- fluffy! and 'i gave them to the pilot and he threw them out the window'

maybe i'm just a little bias <_<

i have to agree, those ads are terrible. talk about cutting the advertising budget to zero.
the other thing i hate, which is in both the old foodtown/woolworths ads and the current ANZ ads are the ones where staff recommend how to cook things/use their banking services. they're as bad as informercial 'testimonials'
