Thanks Squirrel, it sure handles better than the 117 I currently have.

This one is nice and steady, holds a real beaut low level hover. Though I find the fact that you change seats when looking left or right in the 2D view a bit strange. The photo real interior is a nice touch.

Really looking forward to Mikes updated version.

I must read Jimmy's post and try to teach myself how to repaint.
Testers are born to fiddle. What does this button do? Oh! Never mind.....

hi

i downloaded the airmed bk117 and tested it out and it is not a very good model cause the doors don't open and does'nt have the best sound and does'nt fly like the bk117 but it will still look very nice in westpac colours

Thanks for the link Mike, I downloaded it and installed it and can't get it to show up.

I don't really like the AirMed model either, I think it is the same as the hovecontrol Canturbery Westpac Rescue one... it looks ugly and doesn't handle the way I like it.

Hey Capt Hamish that BK-117 you mentioned is the Otago Rescue Helicopter Im unsure if it is still painted silver but they may use it for there back up machine when ZK-HUP is away for servicing ZK-HJK was covering for it a few months back hope this answers your question. check out this link if you want to know more

The Otago Resuce Helicopter is now actually the "Lion Foundation" rescue chopper. It's run by Greame Gale, and his highly dedicated team out at the Taieri Aerodrome, a few miles north of Dunedin Intl Airport.

The "Silver" Tranz-Rail chopper has been gone for a number of years now, replaced by the BK117.

This is a picture I took in June of the the mighty Boklov-Kawasaki (BK117) ZK-HUP sitting out on the Heli-Apron at the Lion Foundation Rescue Centre.
