Anyone who wants a good close up shot of this before it departs is parked outside Dennis Thompson on the grass at Ardmore today ! Interesting shot if they all go there to be sold, would there be enough room ?

I remember when about two years ago I rang Origin to go from Ham-Dud and they tell me to go and pay for my ticket at one of the travel agents that they deal with. I ask them "which agents do you deal with?'I can't answer that. You'll just have to ring around till you find one that deals with us " they tell me. I said yeah OK lady,just tell all your staff at morning tea that you had a guy ring up for a booking this morning who reckoned we'd all be looking for new jobs in the not to distant!
It's amazing they lasted two more years,that incident was before Mike Pero propped up their genius marketing strategy.

I really loved the Flights on the Jetstream tho' I think the ones I went on were shorter,they were 30 seaters,I know that much, Great photo,a piece of history,I'm saving it-thanks

Hey Guys,

Just an update on JSM.

It is now with Peau Vava'u in Tonga operating with this reagional airline.

I saw the Handover at Dennis Thompson, I happened to be there taking photos when the deal was done. Saw all the many boxes of manuals and history papers and stuff. I was also offred a job in it as the airline was looking for ex-origin pilots and he thought that because me and my mate were taking photos we were ex pilots from origin, but with only 20 hours in a C152 I had to decline...

Here are pics before the sale, and after when it returned striaght from Tonga during the Ardmore Warbirds thingy...

Nice pics KAG, you should just have played along with the Tongan's job offer, after all you know the basic rules of flight if you have had 20 hours in a c152!

By the way, why did they bring it back to NZ in it's new paint?

Hey Trolley,

Im not 100% sure why they brought it back, I think it was to checksome maintenance thing, which was organised through Dennis Thompson. Im not sure though.

Its also now registered in Tonga, so it no longer has any NZ ties apart from the maintenance...
