NZFF

I was watching FlightAware and noticed that there was a 744 flight from Honolulu to Auckland.
http://flightaware.com/live/flight/ANZ6970

The flight number was ANZ6970, but this does not show up on the ANZ website. It also seems to have gone through Chicago O'Hare.

Anybody have any ideas what this flight was ie; Codeshare, because it seems odd that a 744 is used on this normally 763 route.

I have never visited that website before, what exactly is it?

I also read through it but saw no sign of the 'ANZ6970' flight going through O'Hare, and that's a bit out of the way really, if you are suggesting the flight went from Hawaii, to Central America, then back to New Zealand?

I searched the ACARS website and found no record of the flight... this truly is very puzzerling, thanks for bringing it up!

It was a Charter Flight! Check back through the recent news stories and you shall find out who was onboard! The aircraft was chartered form ANZ by a third party. Thats all I can say

Trolly Flightaware is a online flight tracking website, it gives info on flight times, altitude, airspeed etc. I found that you can only track a few flights to/from NZ, and these are only to or from the US or Japan.
