Wellington International Airport (NZWM) - Nelson Airport (NZNS)

NATIONWIDE AIR, ATL 98 "Carfair"

Somehow this thing looks like a jumbo for poor people, but let's not be unfair. There were 21 of these machines, which were converted from Douglas C-54/R5D/; built in 1944/45 or civilian DC-4s in the early 60s with one single aim. . . to make it possible to take your car with you from Great Britain for holidays on the continent. At that time there were not like today at every corner rental cars, car sharing and so on and you were with your own car in France, but also in Switzerland or the Netherlands. In 1978/79 this was tried between the two main islands of New Zealand, while the fast ferries were already crossing the English Channel. But the calculation did not work out, because one of the two machines had a heavy engine damage and no spare engine could be found so quickly. . . . and only one machine could not maintain the promised connections.

'Propliner' is actually short for 'Proper airliner, with big rumbly radials'

Now that takes me back a few years when I lived on the hill above Wellington Airport. Nice!

Away from Boeing and Airbus there are also a few possibilities to fly short distances. . . The original gave and gives us a lot of possibilities.
When it comes to graphical options such as shadows, I have to be a little cautious about that. An 8 year old I5 760 with fabulous 8GB RAM forces compromises. At the moment, hardware swapping is not at the top of the list of priorities. THERE are compromises to be made.
