My new feelThere Caravan

Post and comment on screen captures from the beautiful game here. Home of the monthly screenshot competition

I turned 17 on Thursday, and decided to treat myself with my birthday money, purchasing the feelThere Caravan! Deluxe package for fs2004. I used to really enjoying flying the default C208, and am happy to report that the new payware version hits that spot too :D

Here are some screenies I took on my maiden flight in her, from Fairbanks International (PAFA), to Valdez Airport (PAVD), Alaska, painted in the FedEx Feeder paintjob.

Here are 12 screenies I shot enroute (1.08mb). Enjoy!

Thats the lot.

Does anyone know if there are any C208's in NZ, or even better, any ZK- schemes for this model?

Great shots

There are currently 5 in NZ

ZK- PDM Cessna 208 - Sounds Air Travel and Tourism Ltd -PICTON

ZK-SKB Cessna 208 -Air Milford 2000- QUEENSTOWN

ZK-TZR Cessna 208 - Izard Pacific Aviation - Wellsford

ZK- MYH Cessna 208B - Www.air2there.com -PARAPARAUMU

ZK- SRI Cessna 208B 208B -Air Safaris & Services (NZ) -LAKE TEKAPO (check out Robin's scenery - there is one in the hanger)

The 208B is a stretched version.

Sounds Air use to have two but one crashed in 1995 (I have a connection to this unfortunate accident)

I don't know of any NZ schemes available.

I see the Air2There Caravan in Nelson sometimes.

Naki, would you mind explaining your connection to the soundsair caravan?

Yes that sounds interesting...
Also, I think TZR is not on the register? I thought I had them all covered!

Thanks all!

Jimmy, this plane is actually a surprisingly hard hitter on FPS, with the detailed interior eating away at my CPU just like the PMDG 1900d cabin model. I was only getting about 13-16 FPS on cruise above the Alaskan wastelands, when in any other plane I would normally be getting around 25. Unfortunately, there is no '2D panel' only model, unlike the PMDG 1900d.

By the way Monkey- all my screenies are from FS2004. I won't be changing to FSX for a long time yet B)

ZK-TZR is a recent arrival and is privately owned with leather interior (toilet?) etc. The guy that founded Alpha Aviation (whom builld Alpha 120s & 160s in Hamilton) owns it.

As for the Soundsair crash my friends/flatmates (male/female) were killed in this crash. They were on their honeymoon. Went to their wedding one weekend and their funeral the next which was rather traumatic. Anyway life goes on.
