Today I did it the other way around, going from Sydney (YSSY) to Auckland, flying the opposite way to the direction the globe was spinning, and arriving just 1 hour later (local time), even though the flight was two and a half hours long.
The aircraft I used was the POSKY Boeing 767-300ER in the beautiful colours of Australian Airlines, a subsidy of Qantas, who have been flying the QF767 routes to Auckland this week.
