AMAZING Charl, really really impressive!

How on earth does that refueller cable work- such precision to line those three up, is it just trial and error or does it automatically lock on to the skyhawk noses?

CANBERRA, The first post war jet bomber that created so much interest , even America licence built it , they fought against each other , the English Electric versa the US Martin build during indo/pakistan war , the aircraft used in every role - strike, ground tactical /coin , photo recon, testbed , trainer , weather , target tug ......

Above Rassberry Ripple has to take the NUMBER 1 , The nose off this aircraft lives in New Zealand , at the ASHBURTON Aircraft Historical Trust Museum , and is open to the public , this is well worth a visit , to look and crawl through it , and imagine what it would be like to go into combat :( scary !

4 pack 20mm Gun pack in the Bomb-bay

To the RED BARON

SHssss .. 1982 Falklands

Weather reporting , amazing ceiling

Airbrakes ! .....welll they seem to work

Your 2D cockpit - 6 views , No VC as yet , latest release that works for all FS8(2002)-FS9(2004) and Works fine in FSX

Your 2 seat pilot trainer /SAAF

RAAF Vietnam Bomber , Wigram Museum has this in their display hanger , they flew it in from Australia , to were it sits today .

to the Fighter type cockpit version , gun-pack on ....low level strike 1970s look out

Sleek with fighter type cockpit , this SAAF aircraft so similar to our

RNZAF type s

Nice shots guys - being away on hols so a lot of catching up to do.

Ian I have being inside that nose section - I know what you mean - seemed rather cramped and rather awkward to get in! Amazing to think the RAF has just retired the Canberra (in the recce role - bombers long gone).

Ian you blighter ... Sending me off on a wild helo quest while you downloaded the whole Canberra population!
Excellent presentation, Paul Foster has done a massive job on these, never mind no VC.
I had started my bombing run on Nelson, through the Sounds, when your lot popped up, so I'll just drop these as a tailpiece:

I only got as far as downloading the RNZAF & SAAF package, great to see what the others look like
Oh, and there's one more you have to show, the weird offset single cockpit:

Love the Canberra, I think it was one of the first addons I installed once I knew there were aircraft available to download for fs2004.

I too have seen a RAAF B-57 at Queensland Air Museum, Caloundra- although she was far from airworthy condition:

If I remember correctly, it was in the process of being restored. The picture above is from January last year.

They are nice these Canberras, you can play and play!
A footnote (They've got me doing this too now, these W/T Encyclopaedia fellas):

A84-307 is the oldest surviving Canberra, a Vietnam vet.
Oz gummint has given a grant for it to be transported to Philip Island, where it will be restored by the Canberra nuts.

Haha you are quite right, all in good fun though!
The CH-53 is a massive helicopter, and the sight of 2 of them sledding across the sky behind a C130 would be quite something in RL.
One of the slideshow pics gives some sense of this, hang on...
This one:

My model was the freeware MH-53J so the rotor blades got lost in the cloud, but that must be a major issue when flying in close proximity.
I suspect they would not drink in pairs.
This one shows it better:

There is a video somewhere of one of these lopping off the refuelling hose.

I do believe WIngman would have a better rotary show in the pipeline.

"Sikorsky"...you have to catch yourself a moment to think which side of the Cold War are we talking about here??
Russians seem to have a knack for Rotary it seems.
Nice pick of subject Ian, heavy metal indeed. Doesn't the CH-53 look like a steam loco from the front 3/4? Look at the #5 shot, you could bolt a railway sleeper on there & it wouldn't look out of place. And so big, if you need another engine you just stick it up on top and it hardly looks any different!
And a 7-bladed main rotor

Wonder why they sold Ericksen the Air Crane, lock stock and nameplate, to the extent it has to be painted on the tailboom?
I have flown this beast, from the rear-facing hoist operator's station, and earned a gold star in my rotary winged logbook as a result...
Time to dust it off again, I have an urge to lift something Large and Heavy
