Had a little poke around Timmo's new scenery (as you do!)...

Thought I might land on one of the airstrips (they're a bit sticky-out with the 19m, so make sure you're accurate and don't fall off the side/end!)

Ooh look! Birds! (BTW, short final for a sticky-up runway probably wasn't the best time to start noticing wildlife! )

There's even a little hut to pay the landing fee!

Thanks for that- Always good to see how it lines up with the 20m mesh (or not!)...

If you want, load up the photo and mesh in TmfViewer (part of the SDK) and then tell me the height of the airfields so they dont stick out- Ill create and post a new flatten for the 20m mesh.

can't wait till MS can do sloping strips. that strip at the north end runs really steeply up hill and curves slightly. been in and out when I was working TG tower. The strip in the center of the island has quite an uphill to it as well from memory.

This was the first time I've used TMFViewer, so I hope I've done it right...

I've annotated screensots of the two strips - seemed easier than trying to describe it!

Pretty much level, but drops off sharply by the field with the hedge boundary.

Constant grade from one end to the other, then drops off through the field at the Southern end. Not an easy win with this one!

If I've screwed it up, shout and I'll try again.

Ive just made a new flatten for simmers using the 20m mesh.....once G-Hevn verifies it works ok, it should be hosted on flightsim.co.nz. Ill update this post to confirm successful testing and hosting.

Cheers
