As everybody may of guessed from recent shots I have posted I've been mucking around with Photoshop all week & having a go with all sorts of different ideas - here is some more of the same shot with different adjustments. Fairly original shot in opening post. Feedback anyone?

Paul I've been watching you having a play, and it's good fun aye?
Of course the biggest problem with a new toy is not to make the effect take over the core idea, right?
Take that screenshot again, from the sun side, and you'll get the right highlights.
If you really want the sun in your picture, really, you can cut and paste the plane back in to your original picture, and mess with brightness/contrast only.
I reckon the best shots are the ones framed and lit naturally, with effects you wouldn't notice.

But you are inspirational: your blurry shopped pic the other day inspired this one, whcih blurs only the foreground but leaves the horizon crisp.

It's not quite there, but gives some feeling of motion. A-4 contrails are shopped too, to add to the movement.
I'll renounce all rights to it so if you want to improve it, do.

Lens flares usually spoil shots for me, it makes em too showy and less realistic. The best one by far is this one:

Hi Guys

Charl - yea I agree that the sun in the sim itself is good in getting the right reflections etc.

This my current addiction - getting great looking screenshots - trouble is I am not doing much actual flying as a result.

Nice A-4 (Razbam?) and overall shot - presumably the F-16s are AI? I am pretty happy with the final blurry background shot in this months screenshot contest (Its a Mooney fllying low over Rotorua airport).

Brock - yes I agree with your comments on lens flare and concur about the best shot.

Cheers

Paul

Wait 'til the video bug bites...you never fly anywhere.
And then you have to find another chunk of spare time (x8) to edit the raw footage.

Yes, and yes.
Had a look at your Mooney and it's very good, I would've lifted the plane clear of the horizon but on reflection it works better the way you framed it.
Gotta figure out how to do a streaky blur...
