I took the FSX DC-3 out for a jaunt west of Nelson, hoping to test out this new Landclass from Trevor Trewin. 8 pics, only 750kb

This is where Motueka airport would be if MS had included it.

Overhead Woodstock. After this I headed east over Wakefield to fly straight in 02.

The landclass is a big improvement, much of the desert is gone. If you look at the Kina cliffs shot, you'll see that some of the housing spills over the cliffs onto the beach, which is innacurate, but if I was much higher than I was, no-one would notice. I recommend the landclass to all owners of FSX - it's good

Thats the best landclass shots I've seen so far for NZ in FSX. Any chance of some comparison shots of an area in NZ that's normally "MS Desert"?

Hi Matt
Here's one I found looking at the same river from 5000ft - there's some grass there, but it's still more deserty. The darkness sorta lessens the desert effect though

In the daytime, things get very dry:

It's definitely a big improvement, I'll try and get some proper comparison screenshots done tomorrow (assuming I feel like it  )

BTW Matt, freaky sig :o
