Been playing a lot with Rick Piper's new Andover recently. Incredible handling and performance - just great fun!

I was doing some tactical flying around Wellington...

...when I passed by Mana Island and thought I'd have a closer look...

...got down easily enough. Kneeled the undercarriage and dropped the ramp to let the crew out to steal some sheep (all that lives on Mana Island). Kept the engines running for a quick getaway...

...then full power and a high performance short field takeoff. Heading back to Ohakea for a nice roast lamb dinner :D

The Andover - aka HS 748 - can be found here: AVSIM

Rick Piper did that amazing Chipmunk, and if that is anything to go by, the Andover is probably excellent as well.

Was mentioned by hinch in another thread. The link for download is http://www.cbfsim.org/cbfsimv5/cbfsbb/v ... php?t=7744.

And its not quite a HS748 - the Andover is the HS780. A bigger brother of the HS748 and used by the RAF and RNZAF.

Go get it, and have some fun!

Well thats within my criterior for an aircraft, twin engine and props. :D It Looks like he is using a panel and overhead similar to his HS748 which is a terrific plane. If I remember correctly when the RNZAF flew our ones over they had a spot of bother with one, something to do with a valve on the landing gear, but our RNZAF engineers fixed it on the way over.I wonder if any one else remmbers that incident,it was in the paper I think I read it so you would have to be my vintage(63) :)
