Go back to my post of the 2 Feb and try disabling the files mentioned, as a complete "try on." Fences worked for me and Charl. If it makes no difference, what the heck !
Bazza,
There is no post for 2 Feb....I can only assume you are referring to your post of 6 Feb re NZWT AerClbBarFce.bgl and NZWT AprnBarFce,bgl.
As my blurries are mainly appearing at Pauanui Beach I cannot see how these two files could be affecting performance at NZUT.
I have "purged" my FS9 Texture and FS9 Addon Scenery Texture folders of duplicate SOL files (and there were plenty of them) and this has made no difference.....have decided to give the problem a rest and use FSX for the area.
Cheers,

1. I de-activated Lawries Kerikeri airport and then started a flight at Lawries Kaikohe airport. For the first time - no distorted airport trees at Kaikohe. Flew to the default Kerikeri and no blurries anywhere.
2. I re-activated Lawries Kerikeri and started a flight from there. No distorted trees at the airport. I flew a few circuits and no blurries anywhere.
3. I re-enabled the Zinc03, Planter Rims and Gauges textures in my Static Objects folder. (I had previously re-named them as I suspected they were causing problems). I then started a flight at Kerikeri and the airport trees were badly distorted. I disabled these three textures again and tried a few more circuits from Kerikeri. I also did a flight to Kaikohe. No blurries anywhere.
4. I then tried starting from Kaikohe again. Once again, badly distorted airport trees. I tried refreshing the textures by hitting the ALT key but the distortion remained. Eventually I just toodled my aircraft around the airport grounds and after a while the trees sprung into their normal shapes. I took off and no blurries anywhere.
I really do not know what to conclude from this.
Kaikohe blurries problem finally resolved. After I deleted several versions of the Zinc texture (plus variants) which I found in various locations there are no blurries when I start a flight at Kaikohe.

There is a KNOWN issue with the zinc.bmp texture.
See the thread in the link below for the new replacement mipped "non-blurry" causing zinc.bmp texture.

Thanks Lawrie
I have now installed the replacement zinc texture and no blurries being experienced.
I have also re-instated the suspect Planter Rims and Gauges textures and these do not appear to be causing any problems now. So it looks like zinc was the only culprit.
