Hello Fellow Simmers.

Could you tell me what a 'gmap' is and what it does and while I have your attention what is FEX and GEX .

Many thanks

freeware moving map. GMap for FSX displays your current position in Flight Simulator X on Google Maps, the wonderful online mapping solution developed by the famous search engine (Note: Google Maps should not be confused with Google Earth - the 3D virtual globe application). GMap is a stand-alone application, no additional files or software is required. It combines the existing technologies of Google Maps API, JavaScript, SimConnect and the Internet Explorer 7 plug-in to show your current FSX aircraft position, allowing you to also display FSX (and FS9) flight plans right on the map.[/quote]

FEX=Flight Environment X for FSX from flight1

oh sorry and GEX is Ground Environment X also flight1

sorry about the double answer there Ian i wasent looking properly ..
hope this helps Jim

EDIt also there is a tool out there called FSXPILOT found at avsim as a trial that also has a Gmap type of system that will track your moves on goggle earth ,the bonus there is that its a universal AUOTPILOT system that plugs "connect" itself into any plane or Helicopter outside of the copit and sim with very little install actually i think its self installing ...Works for FSX and there is a version for FS9 called FSpilot but unsure if that one does the gmap thing
