Is there such thing? PLEASE HELP!

A place to converse about the general aspects of flight simulation in New Zealand

Hi everyone,

I want to know if there is such thing as a program that allows you to place different objects in places that you choose (ie: a grass strip in a random location in Fiordland). Sort of a 'Sims' concept where you pick an item from a list and click where you want it placed.

I hope you know what i mean!! But is there such thing??

Thanks.

There are plenty of good tools for placing objects, both default or from third party libraries. A couple allow you to drop the object directly into the sim -- I use EZ-Scenery. I am talking about FS2004 here, the FSX tools are a bit different.
However to drop a grass strip or similar is a bit trickier, as these are generally not objects as such. Plus the extra bits like making a clearing etc can make it less than fun.
I've always wanted to make an introductory animation for my tutorials based on the Sim's intro -- where all the buildings etc crash down into place. But in reality FS is a long way away from a one-tool-does-it-all scenery designer.

Cheers. Do you have a link for EZ Scenery?
