A place to converse about the general aspects of flight simulation in New Zealand

Postby NZCoffee » Sat Feb 09, 2008 4:23 pm

Hi there

I'm doing a flight from Nelson to Kaikoura. This is the flight plan:

I've never encountered intersections before.
Does this mean that I travel the WB VOR on the 92 radial for 31.6nm, then tune to the KI NDB and head towards that, or is there some other procedure for dealing with intersections?

Thanks for helping an eager newbie in advance!

pretty much as you described. The intersections are also setup in a GPS if you have one. if not, then as you said you reference VORs and NDBs. So in this case you travel 31.6 NM on radial 92 from WB and turn to KI NDB (350) on heading of 195.
