Virgin Australia Virtual

A place to converse about the general aspects of flight simulation in New Zealand

Hi guys,

I'd like to bring to your attention an exciting virtual airline that I have just taken ownership of.

Virgin Australia Virtual is a new VA which bases it's operations on the real airline as well as it's affiliates, V-Australia and Pacific Blue. We operate many different types of aircraft from the 737NG to the A330, to the 777. Our fleet gives us good payware addon aircraft options to simulate operations as effectively as we can.

We also have at our disposal the wonderful world of FTX's full terrain scenery as well as their stunning addon airports, if you use FSX. That coupled with the PMDG NGX, gives a flying experience as good as it can possibly get!

I am looking to rebuild the VA from the ground up, and also have several management vacancies available. The VA also benefits from having a real NG driver (myself) at its disposal

At the moment we have 125 pilots and I am looking to expand that number and get the community going. We are affiliated with Vatsim, IVAO and Vatpac, and have already had some fun and successful events.

I think you would agree that flight simulation down under has been fairly hard to come by recently, but with good leadership and a strong pilot roster, there is no reason why this VA cannot be the best that Australia has to offer. Or if you have never flown down under, give it a try!

Please do visit our website and if you are keen for a fun and enjoyable flying experience with plenty to offer, apply!

Thanks for your time.

I have to say,

I fly the PMDG 737NGX Virgin and Qantus aircraft. They look spectacular. Unlike the PMDG AIRNZ plane (on the PMDG website) that Tail Light looks pathectic.
One day I'll get into repaints. laugh.gif

I haven't seen that repaint - we have VOZ and PBN repaints available for our NGX which both look spectacular combined with the Orbx New Zealand South Island Scenery smile.gif

Hmmm its not there anymore. Under PMDG repaints. it is on my backup disc though. loved the look during the day as Im true blue kiwi. But the tail ilumination bugged me so didnt install. Now it appears they have taken it off the list.

Dam as an NZ'er I would much rather fly a AIRNZ Boeing from NZ to Auz.
But I like pretty things lmao. And the Virgin and Qantus are extremely good looking.
