Massey Aviation Symposium

A place to converse about the general aspects of flight simulation in New Zealand

Hi Fellow developers and enthusiasts, Massey University, School of Aviation is conducting a feasibility study for hosting an aviation symposium ( at palmerston north ) in Feb 2013. I am keen to chair a sub-group within that symposium on flight simulation with an emphasis on NZ developers and enthusiasts. I am looking for those developers who would be interested in presenting a paper , research , presentation, scenery development workshop or technology demonstration/display etc . The emphasis would be on the practical application of flight simulation for training, commercial development. freeware development or even as a hobby etc, so presentations would not be restricted just to academics. We have a wealth of flightsimming talent in NZ and a biannual symposium might be an excellent way of showcasing that talent and fostering the continued development of flight simulation in NZ. Please email me at S.Reweti@massey .ac.nz if you would be willing to participate.

I have hosted a couple seminars , one subject title was on WWII Battleships , was only to be part of the evening but due to interest it was extended , surprised to find many from the then US Navy base in Christchurch and other peoples in the similar area including Navy and merchant .

So i guess i'm not shy speaking to a few hundred people , the subject of scenery design for NZ and it applications to the real would , i'm sure you will get many from around the region and even Wellington who may be interested .
