Rutan Long EZ

A place to converse about the general aspects of flight simulation in New Zealand

Hey guys!!

I have noticed that in the aircraft menu of the forums, there is a discussion about the Rutan Long EZ, by alphasim of course, but i noticed that they were talking about a Long EZ that used to fly around Tauranga, well im pleased to announce that one guy who lives at the airport is just about to finish his custom Rutan Long EZ!!!! The difference to other models such as the older 'handstart' models is that this aircraft is fitted with an electric key start module and has fully retractable nose and main gear, there has also been modifications to the tails, these are slimmer but higher, but also the rudder swing is slightly larger too, if you are to look out for this aircraft once its in the air, it is to be painted metallic silver, it doesnt have a CAA reg yet but its not far off smile.gif

Hope to see it in the air soon, but i will keep you updated smile.gif

Maarken.

Interesting. If it sounds like the last one I'll have no trouble in picking it out as it goes over my house, but if it's
just as quick I'll probably miss it... biggrin.gif
