Another VA type thing

A place to converse about the general aspects of flight simulation in New Zealand

Postby Zenith » Sat Nov 11, 2006 5:45 pm

This one has come to my attention for those who want to create a VA to what they want and add some realism to how they operate it. Could call it a poor mans FS Passengers as its based on the same style of thing including failures.

Interesting concept?

Well im making a Virtual Air New Zealand, just for the fun of it really, not serios or anything (I am NOT going to spend all my time making it!).

The site actuly looks like a lot of fun is possible buying selling and maintaing aircraft, like a FS version of simcity (not quite....)

James

P.S: feal free to sign up and join my mini VA :D

How do you get new aircraft and do you fly on line?

Also how many VA's can you found/ make?

Looks neat, but I reckon Euroharmony (www.fly-euroharmony.com) has a better system with their ProPilot feature. ;)

yay a pilot! I'll add some routes then, I made two random flights but just ignore therm, I was just testing how to do it, ill add REAL routes tonihgt sometime.

Kelburn, I think you just make your va then click the fleet and find a aircraft to "buy" thats in your pricerange, I was only able to afford a ATR72-500, the budget is quite limited. No 763 for me yet!

One question (again)
Can you run more than one VA?

Also does your money come in from how many flights you do (how many passengers) and how do you know/ decide howmany passengers are on each flight.

No! Why would you?

Yes and its a random generated figure. otherwise playesr would always have full planes just to be succesfull.

Is it possible to fly for my own airline?

Im on the pilot list but theres no option to file a report and stuff. And how do I hire more pilots....

With the"crashing" no one would actuly file a flight report saying "I crashed". And what if I have onnly a few pilots then how would I every earn money. hmm lots of questions

looks like ill have to add a route from NZTG so you don't have to buy a ticket to NZWN or NZCH to do a flight

btw did you get the little "message" that I sent out to all my students, well I hope it was just the students in my VA not the whole system  just giveing links to were to d/l scenery and aircraft and welcoming to the airline lol

I'm certainly enjoying myself making these routes, requesting partnerships from other airlines etc... I can't find were to download the pilot client thow, any one know?

After joining I read the rules (as noted by Blackmagic I think) and see virtual airlines in their system are not supposed to be named after real airlines, so we'll see how long ANZ lasts
I got your message thanks James, and I'm reading the faq at the site and should go for a flight in the next couple of days :)

Like Alister and bm said reading the rules and stuf always helps(when you can be bothered)
All I need now is a plane at Wellington so that I can actually fly somehwere cos these schedules arent much use if I dont have a plane to fly

Hi Jimmy

You had best email tem and advise of your indiscretion, the reason being they may just boot you from the system altogether. The reason being is they are trying to maintain it in a professional approach with set rules without exceptions. One person gets away with it then others follow. Then it becomes a nightmare keeping control of the situation.

Over the months I have seen a few people try it and they have been nailed to the wall, the are currently being very vigilant over certain accounts after another group of simmers joined from a similer programme.
