Maybe the TripleHead2Go running 3 big-ass monitors?

Could be - and that's what I find deeply disturbing, as I have been tempted to go with the TripleHead2Go...
But it stands to reason, if you are running - what - 3840x1024? even his 8800GTX might drag its feet a little.
(Even though he's had to drop it from 1200 to 1024 vertical resolution!).
Nothing to do with FSX, perhaps??

Google? Hah, johnny-come-lately -- long before Google, long before the internet, there were other ways of getting the information we craved on our favourite hobby.
And obviously, from this thread, some of the more mature members still use these old technologies....

I suspect Robin may be cheating slightly, as Ted is clearly a customer!
Ted made it onto Page 5 of this month's NZ PCWorld magazine, with a full-page spread on flying around NZ, his TripleHead Matrox, and how he only gets single-figure fps when flying over cities in FSX.
Dunno which amazes me more - the fact that in a community of (surely?) ubergeek computer-savvy flightsimmers, nobody reads the definitive local computer magazine, OR, the fact that Ted isn't hugely actve in this forum!
Whatever, even if Ted doesn't show up, could I suggest we adopt him as our celebrity mascot?Last edited by Charl on Sun Jul 06, 2008 1:57 pm, edited 1 time in total.

I have always read PC World, but I admit that the last time I bought one was when they reviewed Real NZ Auckland. For most of the 15 years that I had the copy centre it was located in a bookshop, so normally there was a copy sitting around in the tearoom. And now I tend to read it while waiting for my daughter to get ready when I pick her up from her mum's place -- my ex-wife's second husband is pretty geeky:)QUOTEWhatever, even if Ted doesn't show up, could I suggest we adopt him as our celebrity mascot?[/quote]
I'll send him an invitation.
