A place to converse about the general aspects of flight simulation in New Zealand

ATC addons

I have used Radar Contact with FSX for many years and after moving to P3D I investigated a number of options for alternatives, I ended up buying ProATCX. This works very well except that I mainly fly GA aircraft, and ProATCX doesn't really cater for these. I have also had issues with saving flights enroute, and while I can continue with ATC control by loading the saved flight, the Flight Plan is never loaded back into the aircraft. The support around solving this has been unhelpful.

I have now found what looks like an excellent new option in Pilot2ATC, [http://pilot2atc.com] which suits any flight sim, any aircraft and appears to be very sophisticated. I note that saving a flight enroute is not fully covered, but can be implemented with a work around. The only other potential issue is regarding the release of P3D v4 which requires a 64bit FSUIPC which may or may not be developed.

All this leads me to a question of this forum. Has anyone used Pilot2ATC? Is it as good as it seems? Should I wait to see if Pete Dowson does come up with a 64bit version of FSUIPC?

I can't comment on Pilot2ATC however Pete Dowson has stated that he will be producing FSUIPC5 which will cater for 64 bit. Just a question of when.
