ORBX new installers

Postby cowpatz » Sat Mar 19, 2016 5:21 pm

I have just installed P3DV3.2.

Does the fact there are new ORBX installers mean that I have to download all the affect scenery packages again or are the installers only available from somewhere?
Nothing I can see on the ORBX or Flightsim store websites.

Cheers

I think you will find the new installers mean the scenery package will install in FSX and all P3D platforms. If you already have ORBX installed in FSX or early versions of P3D you need do nothing.

Yes but does it mean you have to download all those 4GB plus packages again just to get to the updated installer?
A big draw on the data time each time there is an update in P3D. Especially on a slow ADSL connection.

If you're installing into P3D V3, yes you do. If you haven't changed your platform, no you don't.

You need to get the installer for the version of P3D you have, There are usually some changes to the way things are done in P3D so teh installers have to be updated, this is a P3D thing not Orbx. Of course one they are installed you can update them through FTX central.
