What have I missed out on?

A place to converse about the general aspects of flight simulation in New Zealand

Could someone be kind enough to write me up a shortlist of any big new FS9 freeware releases that have come out whilst I've been away?

I'm aching to fire up FS after a four month abstinence, and really get stuck in to my Kai Tak scenery that I only bought a few days before I left for the UK, but am sure there are a few new treats that may compliment it..

Must sleep first- feeling really jetlagged at the moment, but hopefully when I wake up this evening there be some fresh new links here tongue.gif

$2 says someone mentions the Section8 F-86! laugh.gif

I know how you feel with the jetlag- some FS should cure it biggrin.gif
Something non-FS that you might have missed is that the Southern DC-3 is travelling NZ doing joyrides for a small fee- Hopefully I'll be on it this arvo when it's in Wellington. Would probably be worth hopping on when it comes to Auckland.

heres your $2 VAC - yep Section 8 Sabre - the best freeware (or payware) a/c ever??

Others:

Heaps of Snowmans scenery.

Project OpenSky 777 - not my cup of tea but looks very good.

NH-90 released by Adrian Brausch and available at the RNZAF site. See here

Cant think of any others at the mo but these will keep you busy.

Cancel the DC-3 thing- they're only coming up as far as Wellington. Apparently the tour carried 2,500 people and raised around $250,000 for the Southern DC-3 society.

Cheers guys, and sorry for the late response- my FS pc isn't hooked up to the internet so I had to move everything around in my room to get it back up and connected, and now I'm beginning the downloads.

Whats the deal with the POSKY 777? Is there going to be a conclusive v.2 or do all the updates and VC basepacks etc. need to be installed one by one? And has anyone done an ANZ repaint for her yet?

As for the Section 8 Sabre, well that's first on my list of new toys to get, however, I can't imagne a new F86 that would top Kirk's one- in fact, that's the first aircraft I loaded up and took for a spin around Glacier Bay when I fired up my rig:

'Tis good to be back at the reins winkyy.gif

Haha Welcome back Andrew!
There's a wealth of lovely stuff awaiting!
Be prepared, good as Kirk's Sabre is, it is now only AI to my Section 8F one... cool.gif
POSKY is pesky as ever, you'll have to plough through their download area to get the latest.
It has a sensational VC as you've probably picked up.
