Did you try reading the manual?

I've found that the manual that comes with the PIC 733 is pretty good ;)

Hehe fair enough :)

Is it just the FMC that you're having trouble with, or what else?

The FMC does take a while to learn, but once you've worked it out, it's great, as the FMC on Boeings are pretty much the same, so essentially if you can do one, then you can do them all ;)

I'll give some (hopefully) simple instructions to set up the FMC on the Wilco 733 for a flight NZWN-NZAA, and we'll see if you can get going from that.

I don't actually have this particular FMC open in front of me...so apologies in advance if I get anything wrong here...

1. Open the FMC panel;

2. The first step will be to enter the IRS position. This tells the FMC where abouts you are. So, to do this press the 'Init Ref' button on the FMC, then press 'Index,' followed by 'Ident,' and finally 'Pos Init.' Enter the ICAO code of the departure airport (in this case NZWN), and press the L2 key (next to the dashed line under 'ref airport.')

3. Now the system knows where we are, we must now insert the route, so it knows where to fly us to. Now press the 'RTE' key. Type 'NZWN,' and enter it in L1 (origin). Enter 'NZAA' to R1. In this instance, we will depart from Wellington's runway 16. So, enter '16' and press L3. Now click 'Next Page.'

4. Now we will input the actual route. The route for this flight will be WN H277 AA. So, enter 'WN,' and press R1. Then 'H277,' followed by L2, and finally 'AA,' followed by R2. This has set the route up. To accept this route, press 'Activate.' The 'Exec' button should now light up - press it. Route done :D

Now for the more difficult part - performance initialisation...

5. Press 6R, which should read 'Perf Init.'

6. Firstly, make sure that you have filled your fuel tanks accordingly, so thata you are not over max gross weight before doing this part...

7. Make the entry under 'ZFW' which will be your zero fuel weight. That is aircraft weight + passengers/cargo - fuel. Fill in the 'reserves' fuel, and also the cost index.

8. Gross Weight should appear automatically. Make sure it is not above the max allowable.

9. Select your cruise altitude (eg. FL290), and enter that. Then press 'execute' button.

10. Now to select the takeoff page. Press 6R 'N1 Limit,' followed by 6R again for 'Takeoff.'

11. Enter the degrees of flaps you will be using (eg. 5), and press L1.

12. Now you will need to select the v speeds. I think that the Wilco can do it automatically, so you won't need to bother with all sorts of calculations. Just press L1, L2, L3, and hope that numbers appear there ;)

That's it. That's all there is really to programming the FMC :D

Just fire the aircraft up, push the throttles, then when airborne, activate the autopilot, and press 'LNAV,' and 'VNAV.' Then what you do with the hour is up to you...the FMC will be flying the aircraft :D

If you want to use SIDs/STARs as well, then you'll need to input them, generally as you are given them by ATC if flying online, but after entering the route if offline. So, somewhere after instruction 4, press the 'ARR/DEP' function on the FMC, and select NZWN DEP. In this case, we will fly the standard PEGSA2 departure from rwy 16. So, select the corresponding R key for rwy16, followed by the corresponding L key for PEGSA2. Then just press 'Execute,' which will enter the SID. Then you will need to solve the discontinuity, by going into the section of the FMC that says 'Legs,' and if it says something like 'PEGSA' then has some boxes under that, click the L key next to 'WN' and then with that selected, press the L key next to the boxes. This will tell the FMC to head direct to WN after passing PEGSA; or another waypoint that you can select the same way.

Also, do you have the latest (payware) Navigraph AIRAC cycle installed? Or are you still using the default AIRAC that came with the aircraft (0608 I think). If so, let me know, and I'll pm you information about how to update the AIRAC.

Please note, I was writing this 'blind' so to speak without the FMC in front of me, so if you spot any mistakes, or any omissions, please tell me :)

Even easier than reading, open up Youtube and search for "wilco 737 tutorial" Or something along those lines. You'll find something to help.
