Empty skies and airports..

A place to converse about the general aspects of flight simulation in New Zealand

Been FS'ing for a number of years but have never been into the AI or Afcad side of things. I now have a
reasonably grunty set-up and am considering it might be time for me to branch out.

Can anyone point me towards a simple starter type program, or a "tute" that'll get me started..?

I remember doing the Lee Swordy thing a few years back but time and mental decay set in and I abandoned it.

Ultimate GA have a good tutorial for more the parking radius side of things or all I normally do is search for
say "Afcad tutorial fs2004" and see what you get, there is quite a few sites to be had for afcad tutorials.
Hope this helps

You might also consider lurking around the Project AI Forumwhere a lot of stuff is discussed.

If you just want to have loads of traffic about, for GA, take a look at GATraffic (avsim), for FS9 & FSX. It builds traffic based on the planes you have installed. For airline stuff, I've used 'World of AI' to good effect (again from avsim). If you want to start rolling your own, look around the forums, fsdeveloper.com is a good place, and don't forget also to read the SDK.

Have a look for Ttools. It contains a great manual for installing AI. ttools202.zip on avsim.
