It locks up, and the error report says 'terrain.dll' caused the issue.. any idea on how to fix this?
I can change the weather once I have create a flight and have already loaded it, only in windowed mode with no problems for some reason though..

Over the last two days, FS2004 has been locking up for me in the Create A Flight > Weather > Customise screen, after about 5 seconds of altering any slider.
It locks up, and the error report says 'terrain.dll' caused the issue.. any idea on how to fix this?
I can change the weather once I have create a flight and have already loaded it, only in windowed mode with no problems for some reason though..

How many mouths since your last reinstall Trolly? Perhaps copy the terrain.dll from you "virgin" as you call it 
fs install and see if that works, the .dll rings a bell, think iv had trouble with it in the past too.. eathier replace it (you might be able to find all the modules on one of the install discs) or reinstall.
