I couldn't find anything on Google, and Wikipedia had 'N/A' for callsign. So i'd guess "National" along with everyone else :)

Sorry, historically "National" was the ICAO callsign for National Airlines (US), National Airlines (Chile), and Airmore Aviation (UK).

Currently, I'm doing research on NZNAC, and am in contact with the author of "NAC: The Illustrated History", as well as several ex-pilots. I'll throw the question over to them.

Might be the excuse I want to watch the 3 hour DVD I have called Pioneering Aviation in New Zealand. A good friend of mine used to Fly DC3s for Spanz one one the planes he flew is the one parked at Taupo. I have not been in contact with him for a while so maybe a while to find him he dont own a PC.
