Postby ardypilot » Wed Jul 19, 2006 9:14 pm

The next meeting is this Sunday 23rd July 2006

Doors open 1845 for 1930 meeting.

From the newsletter:
For this Sundays meeting we will be welcoming Dave Whalley who is a pilot and
training officer for the Auckland Rescue Helicopter.
Dave  uses a simulator running FS2004 which is mounted on a trailer .
He has offered to speak to us on Helicopter operation and to participate in our
evening.

This will be an excellent chance to bring along your machines and fine tune your
Heli piloting techniques

To find the ASM E hall
If coming from the city on the southern motorway take the South Eastern highway exit
after Penrose/Ellerslie and proceed towards Pakuranga/Howick. At the second traffic
light, exit left into Waipuna Rd and second right into Peterson Rd alongside the Lodge
carpark. Down to the waters edge and turn right to our carpark.

There are plenty of tables so please bring along machines if available and make it another
successful meeting. A small staircase but there will be help if needed to carry units into
the hall.

Hi James, I've been to a couple of these in Christchurch, but they were more of a vatsim flying thing. And, this was back in the days before Flight Experience. Steve Clarke and the guys down there organised the get togethers, and when I spoke to him last week he said they were looking at getting the flying evenings back up and running. I'll let you know if I hear anything. This Auckland one sounds good though, wish I could attend.
