Talking about olden Times...and the year "2006".... Anyone remember the flight sim forum; "Simviation"... started by Pete Daly ? I jonined it in 2006, and have been a Member there ever since, popping in every day! It was the Lads in Simviation that dragged me kicking anf screaming into FSNZ in 2010, when a tour of the Australia and New Zealand Coast was organized, and took place, in Multiplayer... on line! The one thing that has always got me permanantlty attached to FSNZ is the "Chat" forum, where i can have fun with evey day! ...and dont forget the Motorcycle...

You can always count on Mt Cook to come up with some weather for the screenshots! Liked the climbout pics.... Incidentally the AI Gippslands really do scenic flights, you can follow them all the way through (sometimes literally!) the mountains, and one even puts down on Tasman Glacier, wheels or no!

Woo considering how much of the shot you had to throw away, that's pretty well resolved. Make a good banner, too.

Thanks guys - Yes I should just turn of RL weather and enjoy the view - but I guess that wouldn't be realistic - I guess that is why they call NZ the Land of The Long White Cloud - next leg is a just a short hop to Tekapo. Somewhere in this trip (don't know where yet - it is a moving target) I am going to pick up a new plane and fly it back to Tauranga.

Great screenies Trolly! You have got your sim set up nicely. Fully agree about Boeing vs Airbus. I just don't trust French government and establishment types! I'm sure the ordinary citizens are fine people who don't often approve of what their government does. The fraud and corruption already exposed at Airbus with the 380 programme and being two years behind schedule with it is a worry! I still prefer the 747 over the 380 as well as the 737 over the 318 or 320, whatever they're called!

I think Nik sums things up nicely, and is equally qualified as anyone flying FSX to comment. I never flew this type of tour in 9, so can't really add more. As I have said in other FSX posts, I find the overall experience in X to be superior than 9, the water and the weather (I find the weather to be smoother and less taxing on the computer, especially in dense cloud) in particular. The autogen is better, and more of it which makes things look great if you can mange it. The landclass lets it down, its absolutely crap, but the better mesh is an improvement and balances that. SP1 wont...

Just wondering if he's got retractable undercarriage - otherwise that bicycle stand at the back might cause some grief on landing! Yep, he does have retracts... The pics show "gear up", gear down is for normal road use, i.e. the wings fold away, the wheelstand goes up...

West Malling is very close to where I grew up (Rochester). Sadly, the airfield was closed in 1965, and is now a housting estate (a criminal act IMHO). That's not just criminal... that's blasphemy! Nice shots though, Naki.
