Upon its arrival in March 98 the Chaika took hold of my affections, and if I got to fly one of the two for real, it would be the 153. Seeing them at Wanaka and Masterton over the last 4 years has only served to increase my love for the Ishak and the Chaika. John Lanham's displays in "Bipoli Seven-Five" in particular have caught my imagination and given me something to aim toward. QUOTE (Fauville @ Mar 31 2008, 07:05 PM) , Ian's looks (going by the reg NZ ??40) suspiciously like the scheme that comes included with the AH corsair (or has he been busy) TYPICAL ME ... Project started ..completed .. Never post it , then find original starting post , this , totally new again since AH did not work so well in FSX :) maybe some other scenery or paint put this another look at NZ40 , lot of missing texture  all that energy

QUOTE (Trolly @ Mar 30 2008, 09:32 PM) Just downloaded this one and took it for a spin around Wanaka myself- lots of fun but the first thing I noticed was how artificial the pilot looked: A bit scary even- like a "chucky doll" ANDREW , I could always put my face in there :) but ! I'd be a bit scary even- like a "chucky doll" ........ .........

Got it in one, and the mustang in the RAF Cosford museum (used to be at Hendon) is painted up as B6-V, Jack Clelands bird. Yes, High res model of WOP P-51 Thanks to Jan Kees for doing my request for this paint job :D

QUOTE (JLAU @ Mar 23 2008, 04:12 PM) Thanks for these wonderful pics and a courageous flight I might add. I DID NOT successfully land a 777-300 in there first time. How do the real pilots do it? Seems like my 777-300 was unable to detect the ILS bearings during approach mode. Ended up in the wrong direction. Finally stalling and crashing onto the mountainside May I know where you got this realistic scenery from, is it payware? Cheers! Ooops... sorry my mistake, I thought that was Llhasa's ZULS airport !! Scenery looks identical.

Have a look at the topic that I posted on the Real World Aviation section to see the full story about the paperwork that stopped the Spit from getting to Wanaka this year. Looks like there will be no real Spits flying at all. Smooth landings.

I don't know, but if someone with VOZ FX wants to post screenies from a similar flight, we might be instructed... :) QUOTE (Ian Warren @ Mar 13 2008, 04:45 AM) There is a Frame rate issue , and few other little probs , I'm back in NZ , and no F/rate issue with a better view .... :) and now bring all my sliders back up to the MAX , other than the ground texture , in the big city area .. mmmm still very impressed I didn't notice any frame rate drop (not that I checked!) Like I said. Only about $20. It installs to every default aircraft and it can be installed to anyother 3rd party aircraft. Depends if you like flying at night/dawn/dusk.
