Talking about olden Times...and the year "2006".... Anyone remember the flight sim forum; "Simviation"... started by Pete Daly ? I jonined it in 2006, and have been a Member there ever since, popping in every day! It was the Lads in Simviation that dragged me kicking anf screaming into FSNZ in 2010, when a tour of the Australia and New Zealand Coast was organized, and took place, in Multiplayer... on line! The one thing that has always got me permanantlty attached to FSNZ is the "Chat" forum, where i can have fun with evey day! ...and dont forget the Motorcycle...

QUOTE (Ian Warren @ May 4 2009, 01:11 AM) The lost patrol /ohmy.gif style= vertical-align:middle emoid= :o border= 0 alt= ohmy.gif /> I'll see if i still have the earlier Ark file were she sticks close to the Rock and PM it to ya If you have the Latitude and longitude of the Ark you can go to your flight sim map and put it in plus your aircraft's altitude, speed and direction and you should be flying over it

QUOTE (K5054NZ @ Apr 28 2009, 08:36 PM) I was throttle to the firewall in BHC, trimming to fly straight and level, whereas I took off a bit afterward in PV270 and raced to catch up. Then, about 0.4nm away, I eased back on the throttle....but still overtook! So back to about 1/8, BHC slid past, and then hovering around 1/4 throttle - and very nose high! - I was able to keep abreast of the mighty Fletcher. Good fun! /rolleyes.gif style= vertical-align:middle emoid= border= 0 alt= rolleyes.gif /> Arrr the Mighty Fletcher , had it been guns not dust in the wind...

Not sure if it is the screen that I am using (not on my own computer) but it looks like you may need to turn on Anti-Aliasing, as the edges look rather jagged. Perhaps this might improve the smoothness of the edges a lot. Hope that this helps smooth landings.

You've probably never got up at 0430 for work then gone out for dinner that evening then come home and fired up FS and gone flying 22 hours after you got up either /biggrin.gif style= vertical-align:middle emoid= :D border= 0 alt= biggrin.gif /> Try it, it's very exciting trying to work out where you are and what's happening when you wake up. Although in my case I was 200 feet away from ploughing a trench along a taxiway at 250 knots with Betty screaming at me that I was about to kill us both, it was a bit of a giveaway /winkyy.gif style= vertical-align:middle emoid= ;) border= 0...

See what I can do /smile.gif style= vertical-align:middle emoid= :) border= 0 alt= smile.gif /> That was only the second time I've flown it - did the London to Zurich tutorial then banged out a quick n dirty checklist based on that, and flew my old favourite NZCH - NZAA. I'd have more screenies from that flight but I spent most of it playing with the FMC trying to make the plane do things, or not do things, or undo whatever I'd just messed up /smile.gif style= vertical-align:middle emoid= :) border= 0 alt= smile.gif /> The automation that Douglas built into this plane makes the...

Another nice feeware aircraft - once again no NZ connection but one was suppose to be imported a few years back but I dont think it ever arrived here. Pat Donovan had one at Omaka. He brought it out from the USA when he shifted to Blenheim, it was rebuilt here and only flew a couple of times. He had problems with the CAA trying to get it registered here so he packed it into a container and shipped it off. I think it went to England.

Well I was going to give to voting untill 8.30 to see whether Hinch or Naki had the most votes- but it's been a tie all day long. What a coincidence that both the shots features Spitfires too- as others have said this month, it was real hard to pick a favourite. However, I've messaged Paul, and seeing as he's been a previous winner of the monthly screeny comp here before, he's been pretty decent and allowed Hinch to take home the Orbx prize, whilst his shot will be cropped into the banner for the rest of April. Well done to both of ya /thumbup1.gif style= vertical-align:middle...
