Wow Adam that one made me blink - it belongs on the masthead for the whole month, so much to see! It gets a week only ;) then back to the random banners. I'm using GSX a lot now - and have to say I'm amazed at how much detail they cram into all their systems & animations. I often sit there and do the whole works, catering, icing etc. before the usual boarding and refuelling etc.

Thanks anyway KIWI ...I'll pick away at it. Completed a few more tutorials today ..... some of it is bloody hard work ... but great fun. Hey Split, I have my controls set up so that flying is all done on the joystick, and views controlled by the mouse, so when i want to i just move the mouse to get where i want and use PrintScrn to capture them in game.

I'm pleased to see the Short Sterling standing proud in that photo. B-) be the best Sterling I've seen yet! Its the only one Ive seen Ian . Who makes these models ? They make FSX and the like look like cartoons.... the lighting , the textures ... just amazing. What is the Sterling cockpit like? ... I don't know who makes the aircraft.

Sometimes you have to to be careful which time of the year you select, to obtain that tree particular tree group. (I always use the Autumn/Fall time of the year for all my flights!). I assume its for FS 2004/FSX? I use Gerrish Grey's Tree Set! Thanks for the kind words! The shots are actually from P3Dv3 - using ORBX NZNI and ORBX HD trees. Considering it's fairly old scenery, I think ORBX did a really fine job on NZ - particularly with trees/vegetation placement. Purists may argue the some of it isn't 100% accurate, but I think it captures the *flavour* of the NZ lanscape from the air...

Back in the day it was night flying only, showing the street lights and highways and motorways , only slight colour was the runway markings , since as I mention the Pacific Simulations 737-800 , they are quiet incredible even for a non mover, static , there is one in Auckland , the in Christchurch could not keep running so sold overseas .. prob have a total of maybe 10 hours , three visits, two courtsey of Alistair Curnow of NZFF when he was in CHCH , now a Nelson boy. The old F-27 would have been fun tho.

The prototype A300B also came through AKL too .... supporting the then AIRBUS house livery of the period .... as I recall .... and during which period there aircraft (and AIRBUS generally) was really struggling to see .... in fact during 1 year, during the 1970's, only 2 aircraft were sold. TAA was the only airline in our own part of the world to order the A300B .... but that was many years later .... around the mid 1980's and at around the same time ANSETT went the B767-200 way after Australia's internal civil aviation policy (which had, for many years prior, dictated that both ANSETT and...
