Well you did a fine job.. I've seen a few SS comps and the NZFF one is one of the slickest around. So thanks to the selfless ones over the years who organised it all. RW intrudes so I will assemble something by next week, and with the Outgoing SS Manager's kind assistance, will set up the Almost All of September Screenshot Competition .

The P-40 was less... and the aerodynamic quality of the M.C. 202 much higher... In a direct encounter of these two typs I prefer the M.C. 202. The question about the PBR lighting engine I can not answer, because I am not familiar with effect programming. Maybee you find more information about this in the Diary of the developers of the simulation...

who looks at the scenery? No problem I do look at ground textures because I like to identify towns, cities, highways, streets, buildings, etc etc when I fly at FL350 past those ground textures. Smiling And that is important if a plane's gauges fail and you need ground textures to be able to tell where you are. When you look at my past screenshots past 10 years in various aviation forums, you will be amazed by how I identify towns, cities, highways, streets, buildings, etc etc from FL350 during flights. Thank You. It is difficult in Germany to bring such things in a forum... But i think we must tell such stories and never forget... Historical simulations are in my eyes more than another "virtual shooting", it is a piece of history, presented in a contemporary way. It is the users who decide how to handle it... The Heinkel He 111 has an american "ancestor." Was? Where are all the Polikarpovs gone, seen at "Warbirds over Wanaka" years ago? One is in Germany and the others? Yup all the Poli's have gone, 1x to Paul Allen, 1x to Germany, 1x to Spain, 1x to the Commemorative Airforce in the USA and 1x to Russia and the other to Jerry Yagen in the USA, the other , i believe that 1 of the I-153s is in Russia again, one in Spain and one in the USA. Sir Tim's plan was to keep 1x of each and sell the rest, but after his accident the family dissolved the collection and sold the entire collection. Sad, but understandable.

Two great pics. #1 is *almost* competition for the true Queen of Class ... the 747!!! B-) <_< :) I've always liked the later 737s ... they kind of look "just right". I try desperately hard to like the A318/A319 out of pure habit/loyalty ... but if I'm really honest with myself - I think I prefer the 737-800. The PMDG version is a true classic. It set a high benchmark when originally released and I don't see it losing its crown. Adam.

Beautiful shots! I wouldn't bring up the livery, as it shows my age, but now that someone else mentioned it, I can only agree! The new black aircraft are striking, but it should have been reserved for one-off specials....
