The RG variants have not been built for such a long time. Do you know why? Because the insurance companies hated those planes. Too many pilots have forgotten to extend the landing gear before landing. . . .

Thanks for looking Bra guy ... re the positioning of the nose art, are you talking about the sim model or the real one? I've done some research, and I'm pretty sure the sim model is correct. The restored one seems to be protecting that really shiny panel between the "T" and the checkers on the nose. As for V5 , I wont. Not so much about the things that have come up about it, but I'm not really interested. 4.5 works for fine for me ...when I use it. IL-2, Warthunder, Flying circus are my focus these days. But DashCaps shots are great ...he works it well  Your 2nd pic (the...

Thanks for chipping in on this one, Rob. Yes ... I must remember to remember that default P3D always was a bit yukky - without all the doodads that make it vaguely presentable. Early days for the shader mods people to get their act together, but my big/insurmountable problem is the amount of VRAM v5 needs to run. My 4GB GTX970 (of which only 3.5GB is ever available) will never be enough to run v5 - with or without additional software. Looking at your pics ... ... the scenery does look good (even if it isn't lit properly) but all your pics appear to suffer (like mine) from being pretty drab -...

You know. I like NZ. 25-35 years ago... enough money and a job. Think with the 25-30 years younger, some money and no obligations. New Zealand would have been an option, a longing. You have to work all over the world. I saw this in Vietnam and Angola and now as a pensioner I see how my friends in Latvia have to fight daily for their livelihood. But your country is beautiful, has everything you could wish for in a small area. Beaches, sailing areas, plenty of mountains for climbing and hiking and is not as broken as parts of Europe. I have just learned from relatives in Ukraine what forest...

I absolutely agree, Charl - the effects are always troublesome. No wonder with the scenery based effects, these were made for FSX. The props are perfect in principal. But there is a difference between how they are displayed with various graphic cards - NVidia and AMD is my best guess here. The same prop disk looks perfect on John Young's and many other computers. Not so on mine. We have tried to troubleshoot this big time, but to no avail. I have never seen that in reality, but I know it happened. I love how cloudy/hazy weather looks in P3Dv5, while sunny environment is not to my liking....

The weather. . . . Honestly, I always find it exciting to be confronted with dynamic weather and have the appropriate knob in the settings always on the right. I prefer to restrict the graphics elsewhere . . . but not in the weather. Airplanes with spur wheel chassis are always interesting to me. Now that there are good models of the Cessna 170 and also the small Cessna 140, I fly them more often than the more modern patterns.

Away from Boeing and Airbus there are also a few possibilities to fly short distances. . . The original gave and gives us a lot of possibilities. When it comes to graphical options such as shadows, I have to be a little cautious about that. An 8 year old I5 760 with fabulous 8GB RAM forces compromises. At the moment, hardware swapping is not at the top of the list of priorities. THERE are compromises to be made.
