Good facility. We have the problem with us that the helicopter landing pads are narrow and the approach is not pleasant.

Sorry I wasn't clear about my account , I didn't notice on my bank statements that the monthly or whatever fee was still coming out. I just had to change my password. I've almost finished retrieving what I want, then I'll close it. Imgur is so much better.

Thanks very much. But to be honest, I'm not sure how many helicopters I've "broken" mainly on landing from 1990 to now. I'm afraid there's a little coming together. Even with the types it becomes difficult. And there are Bell helicopters, Mil helicopters, Eurocopter. Almost everything is striking. There is no Kamov helicopter with coaxial rotors.

DCS... 1988 began the introduction of the MiG 29 both NVA of the GDR. I still remember it. On October 7, 1988 they had their first public appearance. After the end of the GDR, these machines and some Mi 8 helicopters were the only ones that the Bundeswehr took over. The machines remained in service until 2003, were converted to NATO standards and then given away to Poland. Now in March the machine should be flown to Ramstein and handed over to the Ukraine. But it became clear to the Americans what that would have meant and the matter was secretly stopped.

P G Taylor often mentions being blinded by the water thrown up over the nose of a PBY in the early stages of a heavy takeoff. Once you get 'on the step' it clears. I saw the Catalina at Wanaka a few years back, and it was just as Taylor described.

Even see an ANZ 777 there? Unless I am mistaken, I think ANZ 777 is in the last screenshot where you can see it next to Delta 777 Regards, Aharon

Don't think I know Rex as I've only been here at RT for a few weeks. I used to fly in the North Island (Matamata) but I'm a very 'on-again / off-again' pilot with low hrs. I'm just renewing my Class 2 Microlight license after a 6 year hiatus from when I moved down this way. Supposed to have my test tomorrow, but rest of the family went and got sick so we're being good little bunnies and isolating (we're all good, no dramas). I might see you around; not a member of CRAC and generally over by the Southern Taildraggers hangars. Not sure in XP11 but the MSFS rendition of RT is pretty darn poor (...

Forgot to mention that that this looks great as does the Starfigher! I guess both if these aircraft don't have any NZ connection which probably lowers interest somewhat. Did the RAF have 247s? The RAF used one, this one, DZ203, buying it from the RCAF, for experiments with airborne radar and later with blind landing experiments. It was scrapped in 1945. I have not found any 247's with kiwi connections unfortunately
