Yes although aerodynamics, airframes and engines had progressed hugely in the post war years, the cockpit looks like just a small step up from WWII aircraft like the Lancaster. I've sat in a Lightning cockpit (which is of similar vintage) and was amazed at how steam-age this "state of the art" equipment actually was. Regarding the Vulcan, there seems to be no real logic/consistency in keeping switch positions to UP/Active or DOWN/Inactive (or vice-versa).

my question is about the sling load. Can the movement of that load adversely affect the flight dynamics? Of course yes Unless I am mistaken, all helicopters have ability to drop the wire holding the load if it gets too dangerous. Famous choppernut can correct me.

Thanks JK that would be for the stock Asobo model. Dean does your mate know if this is a WIP? It does look like the previous paint jobs, but incomplete.

I think that one was used for testing the Triple Plow intakes...I may be wrong.
